The raising of our Green Flag for Water Conservation

On the 28 May 2008, we raised our 3 Green flag for Water Conservation. It was a wonderful and exciting day. Many families from our local community, members of our Parents Council, the Board of Management, An Taisce, Wexford Co. Council and Enniscorthy Town Council were invited to share this special day with us.

Ms. O’ Grady, our Green-School co-ordinator, with her class 3C, entertained our guests with a musical they put together called, ‘H20.’ This musical was very appropriate for our Green-school ceremony as it explained through song and dance, the hydrologic Cycle also known as the Water Cycle.

Mr. Hans Van de Ven, our An-Tasice advisor and assessor liaised with us this year. Hans not only assessed our progress throughout the year but was extremely kind and showed great interest in our many projects. We will be forever grateful for the commitment shown towards St. Senan’s Primary School.
