The Story

Activities > Fis > 2006

Anna came up with the idea for the story. Then everybody came up with the story. Teacher taught us about storyboards, we learned that there are all kinds of different shots and scenes.

“There are at least 100 or more shots and scenes in our film. Everyone had to do draw pictures of shots in our film” (Conor Kelly and Aoife Kavanagh)

The name is ‘Hurling Strikes Back’. When our script was ready, we rehearsed, arranged our costumes, props and our locations.

Vinegar Hill FIlming

This is part of our film script.

Shot of the S.T.C. – fade to two children appearing as if ‘beamed’ to school. The children look at each other.

NOAH:

Hello

ORLAITH:

Good Morning

The children start to walk down to their classroom.

NOAH:

Did you get all that homework finished last night?

ORLAITH:

Of course I did. I don’t want to get into any more trouble with CompuTeach.

NOAH:

I found the division Maths really hard. I think CompuTeach might have made a mistake.

ORLAITH:

I don’t think computerised teachers can make mistakes.

The children arrive at the door of the class room. The words ‘Learning Centre 4’ are written on the door. The door slides open for the children to enter.
